The Potteries Shopping Centre Shopmobility service is designed to make shopping easier for anyone with mobility problems - whether you're registered disabled or just temporarily incapacitated. Manual wheelchairs are available for hire, seven days a week from the Customer Services desk on the upper mall.
Winning the Tom Hillier Award in 2000 for Customer Service, Stoke on Trent's shobmobility is now one of the highest used shopmobility schemes in the Country.
Shopmobility offers Manual, Power and Electric Scooters, children's large buggies and electric wheelchairs, stick holders for walking sticks, cushions, oxygen canister holders and much more...
Shopmobility also offer Shopper Assistance on Thursday and Friday, to help you carry your shopping. The staff in shopmobility are there to help and advise people on easy access points, disabled toilet facilities and garages offering motability packages.
Stoke on Trent's shopmobility is desperate for wheelchair sponsors. For just £250 a year companies will get a banded plaque on the front of the wheelchair/scooter. This £250 pays for the yearly service, new tyres, new batteries and general maintenance.
